RYKER PARTS FAQ
Straight answers on fitment, ride modes, materials, installation and ordering for MadMan Wrench Works aero parts for the Can-Am Ryker and Spyder. Still unsure? Email madmanwrenchworks@gmail.com before you order.
Which Can-Am models do MadMan aero parts fit?
Our front splitters, Intake Canards, Wheel Flares and Mad Side Flares are designed for the Can-Am Ryker, including Sport and Rally Edition models. The Vanguard F3 splitter is designed for the Can-Am Spyder F3 and F3-S. Fitment should be verified for your exact year and trim before ordering.
Do your parts fit the Can-Am Ryker Rally?
Yes. The current lineup fits 2022 and newer Ryker Rally Edition models. Earlier versions of our splitters did not fit the Rally because its front end is shaped differently; the lineup has since been updated. Confirm your year and trim with us before ordering.
Do the Ryker parts fit the Can-Am Spyder?
Our splitters, canards and flares are designed for the Ryker, and Spyder fitment is not confirmed. For the Spyder F3 and F3-S, see the Vanguard F3 front splitter. The Custom License Plate Frame fits standard US plates on both Ryker and Spyder.
Will a splitter fit if I already have aftermarket front-end parts?
It depends on what is installed. Our parts are designed to mount to the stock Ryker front end. Aftermarket fenders, bumpers or lower fairings can affect clearance and mounting points, so send us photos of your setup before ordering.
What is the difference between Sport and Aggressive ride mode?
| Ride mode | Extension | Splitter rods | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sport | 2 inches | Not required | Everyday riding and touring; clean, balanced look |
| Aggressive | About 4 inches | Required | Maximum front-end presence; extra care on driveways, ramps and speed bumps |
Do I need splitter rods?
Only for Aggressive ride mode. The longer overhang puts more load on the mounting points, and our 9-inch adjustable aluminum Splitter Support Rods carry that load. Sport ride mode does not need rods. Do not run Aggressive ride mode without rods.
Which splitters can run Aggressive mode?
The HDPE splitters (Velocity Vane, Road Warrior, Phantom Vane) run in Sport or Aggressive mode. The Velocity Vane Alloy is built around the Sport 2-inch setup. MadGlass pieces are best suited to Sport ride mode, display and show builds.
What is the difference between HDPE, MadGlass and Alloy?
| Material | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| HDPE | Outdoor-grade high-density polyethylene in two-tone colors | Daily riding; handles weather, UV and road debris |
| MadGlass | Cast acrylic with a light-catching finish | Sport ride mode, show and display builds; lower impact resistance than HDPE |
| Alloy | Aluminum, anodized or powder coated | A finished metal look; handle the finish with care during install |
Can I paint or wrap an HDPE part?
Yes, with a plastic-adhesion primer and automotive paint, or a vinyl wrap. We recommend a professional painter or wrap installer.
Can I install it myself?
Installation requires drilling into the Ryker's plastic panels and careful alignment. A paper alignment template and instructions come with every order. A self-install is possible with mechanical experience, but professional installation is recommended.
What tools do I need?
For a splitter: a drill with a 1/4-inch bit, 3/8-inch and 5/16-inch wrenches, a Phillips screwdriver, a push-pin removal tool, and T-20 and T-27 Torx drivers. Flares and canards use a similar set. Do not overtighten; a medium-strength threadlocker is recommended.
What does made to order mean?
Every aero part is built for your order, in your color, after you buy it. That is why there is a lead time, and why sales may be final once production begins.
How long will my order take?
Fabrication time depends on the product and current volume, plus shipping. Email us before ordering for a current estimate.
Can I cancel or return my order?
Cancellation may be possible before production starts, so contact us right away. Because parts are custom-built, sales may be final once production begins, except where required by law. Garage Sale items are final sale.
What if my part arrives damaged?
Email us photos and your order number as soon as it arrives. We review every case and will tell you how we plan to make it right. Damage from installation or use after delivery is not covered.
Will a splitter improve handling or stability?
MadMan aero parts are aero-inspired design components shaped with airflow in mind. They are not guaranteed performance or safety upgrades, and results vary by vehicle, installation and riding conditions.
Are MadMan parts street legal?
Road legality of aftermarket body parts varies by location. Please check your local regulations before riding on public roads. Installing aftermarket parts can also affect your vehicle warranty, insurance or inspection.
Aero-inspired design components. No claims are made about improved aerodynamics, handling, stability or safety.
